I think it's really interesting and I feel so synchronized whenever I encounter other people that are on the same page. There are even some things like trading, making the little cards with handwritten messages, and all that scream _ women energy_ to me and that I love, but that goes a bit beyond this discussion. It makes me feel safe and having people that understand you beyond just the common interests that you share is one of my favorite parts of kpop. I know some people like to say that as an offense, but I actually think it's a good thing. I think it might also have to do with the majority of boy group fans being female. I know that I personally gravitate towards people that seem very gentle and caring (my other biases in NCT are Taeyong, Jeno, and Renjun, for example) but that could be just me tbh. My theory is that it could be related to the way we perceive how those idols behave towards women or maybe in general. I'm not really sure why it happens, either. From the top of my head, I remember the lesbians x Jin or Yoongi era (still going, totally supportive of it btw). This doesn't happen with just him, of course. I personally am an NCTzen that adores Doyoung and I've noticed that it's kinda a pattern to bias him while being a lesbian. Overall, I feel like the image of gay men having female pop stars as a reference is a common thing, but it had never occurred to me that it could happen the other way around until it happened to me. It's more like a thought that recently hit me and that I want to share to see what you think about it. First of all, I don't want to sound like I'm talking from a place of prejudice or anything like that.
